Hey guys, It been raining here where i live for the past couple days now and ive relised that there is water dripping in my car on the drivers side by the top of the A-pillar. I took off the A-piller and looked and there doesnt seem to be anything there to cause a leak, I look on the outside part of the car and its just metal there... does anyone else have this problem, and if so how did u fix it? SHould I just replace the whole weather stripping around the door maybe??????

Thanks

For the leak, there could be several reason, but i will tell you the two most common reasons.

first, the sunroof drain passages are clogged with crap. If you open the sunrrof you will see, at the corners, little hole to where the water is supposed to drain, well this holes tend to get very clogged with time if you dont make sure crap does not fall there. to fix it i would recommed to use compresed air to blow the dirt out. keep in mind that there is four drain passages, two at the front, wicht you see with the roof open and two at the rear at the end of the cassete, those you wont see and they normaly dont get clogged.

Second. You windshiled got replaced by such a crappy windshiled replacement company and they did a horrible job on appliyng the new seal. But at it coul dbe that the factory seal got unglued because of age.

Anyway get a friend, a hose and lots of water. Sit inside of the car, pull the interior trims out and then ask your friend to dump the water, most likely youll see it fast..

This is a begiining point. If this wont help there is also one last place to look whict i just remembered,
Under the bottom of the front windshield the ac blower motor sits together with the windshield wiper motor, they are inside a compartment that has two drains to drain water out.; It is possible that with age dirt clogged those passages and then water is accumulating into such a point that is making its way past the blower housing into the car. But this would ony make the carpet and the areas around the ac wet. So if the water comes from the pillars, roof, then go with the two first causes..

anyway hope this helps.
let us know.
