Yet another problem!!

I Need help ASAP guys, I gotta smog my car but first I gotta get my check engine light shut off. I ran the computer on it, and error code [P1470 -Auxilary Emission controls] came up. Does anybody know exactly what this is and how i can fix it? ANY help appreciated, and thanks to everyone on this forum for being so helpfuL!!

P1470 Leakage Diagnostic Pump Control Circuit Electrical
I finally found the leakage diagnostic pump in the rear fender well. I had to remove the driver rear wheel and inner fender to expose the critter, and there is was, attached to a fuel evap canister. The insulation on the wiring to the pump had been damaged due to chaffing, so it was an easy fix to replace the old worn through wires.

So before i tear my car apart- what year is yours? I have a 2000 328i, and is there any significance in the difference of the descriptions of the codes? The computer said Auxilary Emission controls after reading the cars computer. What leakage diagnostic pump control circuit possibly be the same thing cuz it seems like it.

johnny's problem isnt a common one....sounds more specific to his car.
your fault is very general, could be a lot of things. Could be a bad DMTL pump or possibly could be a small leak in the evap system. Getting the faults read with some better software may help to give you more direction.
