the HID (xenon) lights have been optional since 99 on 3series sedans and since 2000 on coupes. the only cars that get them standard are M5's and the 7series. i think those prices are kinda high, but i'm sure they're negotiable
you can get an M3 for those prices. i got my car off ebay

Well it depends on options and whether they are CI's (coupes) or sedans...I believe the one you are looking at are probably sedans. In my area...the coupes always bring more $$. Also...if they are certified, they'll be more expensive. To find out if they are or not call: 800-831-117 and wait for option "Automotive Questions"...and ask the teller if you give them the vin...to tell you original MSRP/options/and warranty. They'll be glad to help. Also...color is a major factor on determining price. White/tan is ALWAYS the absolute best. Xenon (HID) lights are only a minor option on these cars (about $900-). They are however, very good looking and increase visibility. Both BMWs 328i or 323i are absolutley awesome cars. Sometimes...even though the 328i has a little more HP, the 323i may have more options. To check whether the prices are fair or not go to: www.kbb.com www.edmunds.com www.nada.com
....Or check competitive prices on ebay or www.traderonline.com. Hope this helps! Happy Hunting.
the smaller 6 (323 or 325) is just very slow. 328 or 330 are quite lively, i'd take them any day.
m3 is in a class alone (superior machine designed by gods), but that goes for the e46 car (2000 and newer i think), the e36 is porcine, although handling is nice.
2 doors do not offer any noticeable shell stiffening, and are more expensive.
xids on the 330 are $700, and worth every penny. i think this can be negotiated down to about $600, although i do not know.

peter :
the 323/325 5speeds arent very slow, they just lack a little torque from the smaller displacement. also in 2000 the xenon HID's were only $500, in 2001 or 2002 they changed to bi-level xenons and the price rose to 700
Thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it. They are certified, they are from my local BMW dealer. I think that i am going to check some other places, ebay, autotrader, etc for some. Maybe i'll find a deal. The M3 is nice, but i'm looking for a sedan.

EBay is cheaper, but you have to ship the car out to you, isn't that expensive? Plus, you are buying sight-unseen, what if the car is a piece of shit, can you just send it back?
