Windows Not Opening/climate Control Whis

Problem 1
The windows in my car are not opening when its very cold. They are frozen. Last week the dealer replaced the driver side window actuator. That one window opens almost anytime , but not the others!


Problem 2
There is a high pitched whistle from the center console of the climate control - noticed when fan is in 2/3 rd position. What could this be?

It was -10F windchill here yesterday and my windows froze.....damn irritating when you ahve to order something from a drive thru.... ghead .

Anways there is no way out of that other than have a heated garage and since I spent all my cash on the bimmer....I have no way to do that :P .

Anyways dont try pouring hot water on the windows as some dunk heads mught suggest or heat it with a Hair dryer........ . Since you mention the one window you changed the actuator on comes down and the others dont...kinda rings a bell in my head ......did the dealr screw up something while installing the actuator?????.....you might wanna take it back to them and check it out. Or else wait for a warm day and try rolling the windows down.

Regarding the whistling from the blower I get that sound for a few seconds (I have auto climate control) in teh beginning when its friggin cold out but it stops once the car warms up...I would not be too worried about it.

Other windows open but not when its so cold! Yeah Id never pour hot water. Lukewarm ? I might!

I hate that whistle sound!
