After I stop my car and get out I hear a clink noise as if something from the driver side rear(I think) is unhooking(at least that's what it sounds like). Anyone else experience this? It seems to be pretty much everytime I get out I hear it.

well, if you hear a clicking or somthing like that kind of noise, and it keeps making that noise for a while, a lot of cars make that noise. i dont know what it is.
is it after you drive it, turn it off, then get out...then makes sorta a click noise for a while, mine does that too... i dont even want to worry about it... if there is somthing wrong, it will cost me a few more pay checks..
After I set the Hand Brake I get out of the car and hear 1 "clink". It is the parking brake moving just a little due to the change in weight of the car.

My car clicks too. At first I thought it was just stones hitting the undercarriage, then it started happenning when I was at a dead stop. So, then I thought it was just the seatbelt tensioners, which I found that it is sometimes. However, it still happens even when I am stopped for like 20 secs or so. I was going to ask my dealership. Very strange.
THe clinking sound you hear is your exhaust system cooling down. Since your cats run at a couple hundred degrees F, all that exhaust tubing expands. WHen you turn your car off, it starts to cool and make that clicking sound.
As for gulelin's problem, it may be the parking brake, but it may be the brake not holding. How old is your car? is it auto or stick?
When your diff starts to wear, it can do the same thing...

Thanks for all the input guys! The parking brake sounds like it could be the culprit, I was thinking suspension but the brake would explain why it doesn't happen if you just get in and get out....you haven't adjusted the brake. but after driving you always pop the E-brake. I can test it easily by not applying it and seeing if it makes the noise. Thanks alot!
