why do some have chrome around windows while

Why do some of the 3 series have a chrome strip around the windows.. (e.g.
blue car) and some don't (e.g. blue car).

I really don't like the chrome strip.

-all 3 ZHP (coupe/sedan) come in gloss black
-all 325 sedans come in black
-all 330 sedans come in chrome

Yeh, i noticed that chrome strip on the standard coupes, and i recon it looks classy so thats the reason why i didn't go for ZHP, coz the black kinda looks too raw for me. I even ordered chrome handle door handles and chrome exterior door seals/line for the 330Ci (whereas in standard form, they are just colour coded on coupes, and black on the sedans).

It's your money, do what you want with it. Not flaming, just making a general observation:

I can't stand the "Bling, Bling" on a classy car like a BMW, especially an current one. It makes it look cheap. That's why I care, 'coz' it diminishes my car in the process.

323i and 328i are the same as 325i and 330i respectively.

the black trim is called "shadow line" and is coming in gloss black or matte finish on some vehicles.

Yeh, me too. Just wondering though...are u talking about the chrome strip around the window..or the chrome exterior lines along the door??

In the UK if you buy the Sport models then you get the black glossy trim, which looks sweet, if you buy the standard,SE or ES then you get the silver one
