My car is set up for the phone but we did not buy it from BMW when we got the car. Does anyone else sell the phone with the armrest at a lower price then the Dealer. I can install it but I just don't want to pay 1K for a cell phone even though it is real cool. Thanks for any help on this idea.

BMW's are doing away with the phone systems. you will find it difficult to get their systems because the Bluetooth system is now becoming available. as far as i know, the bmw dealers are the only places where you can purchase this system. i would get these from circlebmw.com or pacificbmw.com as they sell them cheaper as well as other OEM products than your local dealer. you can the dealer install it for you, or you can install it yourself. there is a diy on this. i will try and locate this for you guys.
in order for this bluetooth system to work, you must have a bluetooth capability cell phone.
Hi there I just found out that only cars that manufactured from march 2002 up can use the bluetooth device. I have 2002 330i sedan but were made Sept 2001. I would love to have this bluetooth in my car since i have bluetooth phone. it's suck for me.

what phone do u have so when i upgrade my phone i know that i can get blue tooth installed
These are the recommended phones by BMW with bluetooth capabilities:
Sony Ericsson T68i
Sony Ericsson T616
Sony Ericsson T610
Nokia 6310i
Siemens S56/S55
While in theory all Bluetooth phones should work with the ULF system, BMW can only recommend phones that we have tested. Functions such as synchronizing the address book, and transferring a call in or out of the vehicle will function differently from phone to phone.

I would be nice if they have it in MB. I have 2003 E320 and have to wait to next year when they come out.
