Wheel idea....

Ok so a friend of mine was looking into highly expensive rims... and I looked at my beaten up dirt ones. Thought... What if?

This is what 16" rims look like now....(not litterally, but the style, I beleve it's #42)

And this is what I'm looking at....

They call it a Cross Spoke Composite II 42. A size 17" with widths of:
7.5....fits 225/45
8...fits 225/45
8.5...fits 245/40 (i don't think this would really fit my E46? maybe spacers?).

The 8 size would run about $1700 for a set (no tires). Prices are from BMW Wheels.

Any opinions? Too gheto? Too much?

Looks good but a minor mod. I would think it would look sweet w/ 18's if they make em. Too Ghetto??? No way! Just my opinion.

Not too shabby of a wheel style. Although the pics make the wheels seem small... like 15s IMO.

It would set your car apart from all the style 44s around

I've got the Dinan Stage 1 suspension and am quite low to the ground... my wheels are pretty deep in the wheel well. With stock 16s on in, it seems a bit small... but only a bit. with 17s it would look and fit better, but going higher would perhaps make it look unproportional.... just an idea.

it would be more worth it if you plus size more than just one step. you currently have 16", IMO it would be nicer if youve gotten 18" maybe even 19"

I think with the stage 1 the 18's would be a perfect fit with a lower profile tire. But that's just my opinion b/c I like that look. Seems like Woobie is with me on this one!
