Whats the diffrence between a 325ix and a 325xi?

BMW hasn't made 325iX (upper-case X, yes, there is no such thing as a 325ix with a lower-case 'x') vehicles since 1989, I believe. That is just what they called their AWD 3 Series back then.

Starting with the AWD sedan in 2001, BMW started using the -xi suffix, this time with a lower-case 'x'
