What Size Tyres?

I have just bought a 320i SE (2002 -E46) and the tyres need replacing.

The front ones are: 225/17/145 & rear are 225/17/140.

The wheels are upgraded M Spoke 68 alloys. (see http://www.bmw-forums.com/forum/inde...showtopic=870)


I understand from reading some of the posts on this forum that the different sizes (145/140) are standard on an M3, but are these normal on a 320?

Would it make any difference if I put 225/17/145 on all 4?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

what is this 145? do you mean 225/45 x 17?

regardless, google up miata tire size calculator, it is great. guideline: not exceed 1.5% speed difference.
