What motor do I have? - 98 328i 4 door sedan

I can't seem to figure this silly fact out! Since it's a 98...is it the E36?

it's not an exact science but I believe production of the 46 started in June of 1998. The 36 has a more boxy shape than the 46. Why don't you just Google it that way all should become clear.

As Jimmy said, the E46 headlights are noticably round and the E36 have rectangular glass covering the lamps !
