I was wondering what kind of tires you would all recommend. I have a 02 Ci sport package coupe. I want to get some tires that will make for a nice ride and still maintain some handling. I also want them to last a long time. I am replacing the stock tires on the car. They are the continentals BMW put on them. I am open to suggestions. Thanks
I also hear good things about the SP's but I bought Khumo MX's to save ~$75 per tire. I do several driver school weekends a year and go thru tires pretty fast. The Khumo's are great for adhesion and control and survive the track much better than the Conti's. They are farily noisy though.
I have the Pilot Sport PS2 in 225/45/17 on the front of my car and I love them. They are far better than the Yoko avs es100 that they replaced. The YOKO is a good tire but lasted less than 14K miles and became very load as they wore.

How well are the ps2's treadwear holding up??? How many miles do you have on them and are they quiet???
I have about 1K miles on them and the tread seems to be doing well. They are definately quieter than the Yoko AVS ES100's, and the BFG's that were on before those.

I have some michelins on my Chevy truck and love them. I think I might go that route with that the Bimmer as well. I will need new tires before the end of the year so I figure I should start doing the research now.
I looked at the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3. It was about the same as the PS2, but when I went to Goodyear they said that the tires would not be in the US untill mid to last October (this was in Aug) and I needed tires now. They should be available now and rated as well as the PS2 in Tire Rack's reviews. Good luck hunting.
