need help .im buying a car i got two options . 2000 328i 45,000 miles or a 325i 60,000 miles. the 325 is selling for $20,000 and the 328i $19000. the 328i has the steptronic trani. any advice on which one might be a better buy? and what difference i can look for. thanks
Get the 328i. You'll have more HP to start with and it's got low mileage. 328i will have around 193HP and 206lbft torque. Usually, the 328i, (at the time) being the upper end 3 series model, will have some added appearence looks. The only one I found on mine were chrome tips. The 325i has a slightly smaller engine, but close in HP. I think it's off by ten ponies.... The step tronic is no manual but should give a good peppy feeling. What's the tranny in the 325i. If that's a manual, you may want to get that. Being a manual, you'll feel more power. I think that's it.

is this a better buy? this car flys. first time driving one. and im very impressed.
All of your prices are off by 1k, so those prices shouldn't hold the final say... you never know what you may find after getting it checked out. The 325 person's asking too much, but he's probably hoping to screw someone if they don't barter with him. The price is right on this last one, depending on it's condition. I'd go for this one.
The 325 is about market value at a dealer .. but the 328 is a good deal. When I was buying my 325 i did a lot of research and the 328 with that many clicks would usually go for 22k if not more (of course if there's nothing wrong with it) .. definately get it checked out first
