Anyone out there ever experince water collecting around the spare wheel?
I have E46 and recently cleaned out the boot (trunk) only to find PLENTY of water there, explained the condensation some evenings!!
I drained the water and dried it out on Sunday and poured water around the rear window and boot (trunk) door to test the run-off, all seemed ok. I just looked again to see some water back there juts over 24 hoursd later? There hasn't been much rain since. . .anyone any ideas?
Its deffo getting in !!!, seriously, if its not getting in around the boot seal, I would say there's really only one more place, around one or both of the rear light clusters.

Cheers Marti5,
good to hear there no more serious area of concern but frustrating its not obvious when you pour water in the sills and over the rear windscreen.
Another strange thing was the splashes on the very back of the boot floor? you would expect the water if it was drianing in to simply flow down to lowest point!
Do you know best way to check the light cluster or point of usual leakage? I'll pop them off and inspect anyway.
Ha Ha!!!, Yea been there done it, mine was the seal around the passenger side light, removed it cleaned it all up and put a bead of silicone around it, did this 3 years ago and all is still fine and I wash it with a pressure washer.
