Hey guys
well im wanting to paint my rims and they are stock by the way. I seen a car just like mine with the rims painted and it looked GOOD.(i know copying is not cool but short on cash so cant buy new rims right now) but yeah im really interested in doing this and was wondering if any of you guys had info on how i should go about this?
Just Some Pics of my car. Was thinking of painting them black since my car is silver, tinted windows and black interior.Any suggestions????
Are you talking about painting them yourself, or were you thinking of having them power coated? I was about to post a thread to ask some questions about power coating because i am interested in having my stock rims power coated: would power coating cover up some scratches that i may have on my rims? Also how much would this cost me, and does anyone know of a shop that does this in the Chicago north suburb area, thanks in advance
Well i was thinking about painting them myself. one of my buddies painted the rims on his Z and it looked good, so i was thinking of letting him do it. and about powder coating, really dont know how much it is. i was thinking of looking into that just to be sure.
sorry but i dont think it would loo that great.... just save and go aftermarket

I would not suggest it. If the surface is not prepped properly they'll eventually flake, chip etc. I'm with Alpine6, you can get some nifty aftermarkets for not too expensive.
I had my e36 M contours redone professionally for about $75 a pop. Which included sand blasting, repair, prep, powder coat and clear. That was a few years back so maybe it's $100 a wheel now.
