Vanos Noise

Does anyone else notice a noise from the intake when they start their car cold in the morning. Sounds like a noisy lifter but sounds like it is coming from the intake manifold. It goes away when the car warms up I only have 1500 miles on the car. Should I take it in or is this normal?

It is inhierent with hydorolic lifters and is considered normal. Has to do with cold oil being thicker and not flowing as easily.

time it one morning.

there is a 90 second auxilary pump that runs when your car has been sitting. it's very loud. (my parents say it sometimes wakes them up when i leave for school) but it only lasts 90 seconds then quits.
