UUC Sway Bars ??? Problems?? - BMW Forum

Ok i just recently install a set of uuc sway bars, and they squeek...it is sooo annoying. Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it?

Buy some teflon tape, white lithium grease and copper anti-seize compound. You can find this at any auto parts store in small tubes. Lay the stock sways next to the UUC's when you get them off and you'll see where the new UUC bushings will go on the new sway...wrap some teflon tape around the new bar in this area maybe 1/2" to 1" more than you need on either side of where the bushing will go. Put the grease and anti-sieze inside the bushing and place on the bar on top of the teflon tape. This will help to keep the bar squeak free.

spraying the beejezus out of them with a silicone spray may also work for a couple of months.

i take it the bushings are urethane, this damn stuff always squeeks..
