Hiya I Own A 2001 Bmw 318 E46 And About A Month Ago I Noticed A Problem With It Which At The Time I Put Down To It Just Being Cold. When I Initially Started It Up And Tried To Drive It Had Little Or No Power But If I Left It Idlin For About 10 Mins And Then Drove It It Was Ok. Now However I Went A Drive In It And It Now Struggles Constantly To Gain Power And In Fact Loses It On The Uphill . Its Been Suggested To Me That The Air Flow Sensor Mite Be Gone However I Dont Want To Buy One Only To Find Out It Is Something Else Any Ideas Guys .
Ps Im Female So Dont Be Too Technical Plz Lol
Ok, It could be the MAF, dont know how you are on mechanics, if you unplug it and there is no difference then its shot, if there is a diff its probably ok, then I would go for the crankshaft sensor, the best thing you could do if your not mech minded is get a diagnostics done.
