update on (CCV help) posted below I found out two of my cylinders weren't working (dnt know which ones). My uncle changed the sparkplugs to them for temporary.. My dad took it to AutoZone and they ran it through the machine and the guy up there told me to look up "Diagnostic Trouble Code P0174 & 171" I looked them up and 171 is something to do with the MAF and P0174 I'm not so sure what I found. Well the guy also said the main thing that popped on the diagnostic was the air filter.. So I'm going to get the spark plugs changed and gonna get a new CCV tomorrow (which is what BMW told me to get fixed) But according to the guy at AutoZone he said it looks like the vacuum hose you can see from just looking under the hood seems to be collapsed. Well BMW charged me 270 to replace the "vacuum hose" so then why is it collapsed? Are there more than one vacuum hoses??? this is so frustrating.. Any comments or advice, PLEASE help. Say anything you may know.
BTW, I've got a 2004 325i it has almost 88k miles on it. I bought it in February from a Toyota dealership (my car was in the used car lot) I got it with 86,087mi on it.. so I barely drove 2k and I already changed the oil and oil filter on it.
I was thinking to trade it in bc its causing me so many problems right now since I have work and school and now I can't drive it! but trading it in would make me lose so much money. |
