Tyres and Wheels 16v18

Hi everyone,

I've got a 323ci from 2000 with 225/50/16 pirellis on the BBS style 16" MVs.
I'm considering the 18inch 135Ms, or the 18" M3 alloys, which I reckon would sit on a pair of 255/35/18s at the back; 225/40s at the front.

1) From what i've heard, I wouldn't need to make any suspension mods, or do any "fender/arch rolling" to accommodate the 18 inch alloys. Is that right?

2) I need new tyres for the moment anyway and I've found a good deal on 225/45/16 tyres. From the factory it usually comes with 205/55/16s. Do you reckon these would fit OK or would the car ride too low on these?

Any advice appreciated.

reconsider the 255. it will make the car understeer. 225 18 all round seeems a better choice. this somewhat relates to the "handling" issue i was flamed by someone in the all wheel drive trail....

i am hoping to wear through my stock setup on the 330ipp (225/40 front, 255/35 rear all 18).

next set will be pole position s-03 or pilot sport, 235/40 x 18 all round...., i will report my findings.
