I'm assuming this is not a BMW dealer and that it is not a CPO car?
Sport has a stiffer suspension, different seats, etc. I'm not sure what the 2000 Premium package has.
Do yourself a favor and go to www.edmunds.com and look up what comes in the packages. It's not that hard to find out what options are on a car. If you absolutely must buy online, get a good warranty.

nope not a BMW dealer...I'm a dealer so I'll buy a warranty... I have been trying to get info on the car by vin etc, just not having luck to be honest. thanks for the input.
I've got a 2000 328 with sport and modified prem pkg. 193 horses with the smoothest 5sp tranny I've ever seen. The sport pkg gives you 8-way power, 2-way manual sport seats(larger bolsters), and a lower, stiffer suspension. Mine has the optional upgraded rims w/ the 225/45 17 tires. A little stiffer ride but this thing holds the road like bubblegum in july!!! My wife even enjoys the 5sp and we wouldn't have an automatic. The prem. pkg adds amenities like leather seats, sunroof, cd, harmon kardon stereo, arm rest etc. I've had mine since 3/03 and haven't had any problems except replacing 2 head lights, even that could not be simpler. 2000 was the last year these were produced to make way for the 330i.

the cd says bmw business cd...i guess it dont have the prem package although it has everything else you listed....thnx for the info guys...i dont care about the rims, im puttin 19" chrome ones on anyway.
You know, my 1999 328i has the premium package, now I could be wrong, but don't all, if not most, BMW's come with the business CD. The only alternative is an optioned navigation and also upgraded speakers, but beyond those I don't think having a Buisness CD denotes not having a premium package.
OH... and sport seats would be the best way to identify a sport packaged car. The sport seats look like they're miniture Lay-Z-Boys. There's an extended seat surface that comes out under the knees in the front of the seat. There are also alot of controls for the seat as a whole as opposed to just the two control levels and memory buttons on the standard seat.
