Hi... I have an '01 325ci convertible. The trunk is showing open on the instrument panel (trunk is latched & locked). I cannot unlock the trunk w/fob or lever inside car...must use key in trunk lock. I check all fuses...okay. Any ideas?? Help the weather is great for the top down & I can't whilst this indicator is on. Thank you

I found that where the wiring harness goes from the car to the trunk lid 3 wires were broken. My understanding is that this happens quite often. The wires end up bending and breaking. This was a ten minute job.
Now I'm off with the top down. FF
