Trouble starting my 2000 323i

I have recently started having trouble starting my 2000 323i. It doesn't seem to want to turn over once it's been sitting over night or even after work.

New battery I would say esp if the old one is original, nearly 9 years.

Yes like Marti says, it is more than likely a battery issue. Get a new one. Even the smallest problem with a battery can cause some weird things to happen in the BMW electrical systems.
