I have recently started having trouble starting my 2000 323i. It doesn't seem to want to turn over once it's been sitting over night or even after work.
Yes like Marti says, it is more than likely a battery issue. Get a new one. Even the smallest problem with a battery can cause some weird things to happen in the BMW electrical systems.
