Trouble with alarm - BMW Forum

Does anybody know why my led light on the mirror doesn't flash? Also my lights don't flash when i arm the vehicle. Any help would be great.

The car probably is not equipped with an alarm. on the 3 series the alarm is an option. The LED and all of the pre-wiring is there but the siren and a few other items are installed as a retrofit and then the Body module is reprogrammed to add the LED output and other alarm functions. Call your dealer for an install price or you can DIY however you will still need the dealer to code it for you after installing.

I think it has an alarm. my key has buttons on it.what confuses me is when I lock the doors with the remote no lights flash and no siren or horn.

all BMW keys have buttons on them.. you probably dont have an alarm
