Trim strips above doors falling -any fixes?

Hi all -
Here's my first post - I checked the FAQs first and didn't see anything on this.

In the past two months, the interior-colored pieces of trim that run above the door openings of my 2000 323ci have pulled away and dropped. It appears that they may have shrunk, and they are just hanging there sagging - looks great. The dealer told me they'd be glad to order new ones at my expense, but there has to be a way to fix this using the existing parts. Has anyone experienced and repaired this problem? If not, I'll start experimenting, I guess. Thanks in advance.

3M Superweatherstrip adhesive works great. I have done both doors on my car and it has heald for a year so far. Just follow the directions on the package.
