Trim Removal

Does anyone have a DIY or know how to take off the exterior trim surrounding the windows because im looking to change my black to chrome?

no i dont know how. fyi i was told the trim is useless once it has been taken out.

So.. you want your black trim strip around ur windows, to be chrome?
That is possible to do that! but..its gona cost money.
I asked the same question to my BMW dealer wen i was ordering a 330Ci in performance package...but i asked for the window trim to stay chrome...he sed..yeh the only way we can do that for u..is order the car in as is (performance package) and then wen it arives here, we can take out the black/gloss trim and put a chrome one in. to order that part in and labour..they quoted me $1,400 (AUD). so..that equates to around 1,000 US dollars. but then again...it may be slightly cheaper if they don't have to import the chrome window trim (if its in stock..or in the country somewhere). As far as i know..only the dealer will do such thing.

well im working out a possible trade but i am still lacking a DIY so im not sure if im gonna be able to do it

Hop on over to E46fanatics.com and ask those guys. I know of a few that have painted their trims, but if i remember right, they left them on the car while painting.
