Tried to Steal my Ride!!! = Replace DS Lock Cylinder

So I just parked my car to go out with some friends and my hand brushed against the handle.... it was rough.... i was pissed because I knew it was scraped.

It looked like some jerk jammed a screwdriver or maybe even a scissor in the lock.... shoving it in and roughing up the cover.

Who would have known that my 4 month old, 2005 Mystic Blue 330CI Convertible would be prone to theft?!?!?!

If your going to try and break into it, at least steal something!!!! GRRRRR

Aparently it should cost about 90 bucks to replace with genuine parts with .3hours of labor... quoted by Geico using an independent shop

I went to Rallye's Body shop in Carle Place NY and they want about 180 with the labor and stuff. and they want it for the entire day.

How long does this take? Does it really cost cloe to 200 bucks to replace this lock? Does it need a whole day? (obviously not) What do they need to do to replace this?

0.3 Hours? really? It's hard to replace those parts off your car because you have to take off the door shell and pull out the window to get to it. $180 seems a good price.

Half a day by professionals is what I would say is a serious estimate.
