Hey my '01 330i is riding rough...at some speeds it feels like it's on the rumble strip on the highway...I'm pretty sure it's tranny or drivetrain...
It's under warranty, but I still need to get it checked out before I know if it's covered or not.
My question is, should I take it to a Bimmer mechanic? (there's only one of those is town besides the dealer)....or should I go to a transmission shop? The BMW place will charge $100 for the estimate...the tranny place is free...
I've never had any tranny work done...do you guys trust tanny shops over regular mechanics?
Mate i would go see the tranny guys for free.
just watch their every move.
Its like any job mate, you get good guys, and bad guys.
If its free mate, check it out.
DONT let them do anything without explanation first.
silly question i know, but are you sure its not tire rumble?
car is pretty new mate, and unless you rag it, tranny should be good.
Mines way older than yours, and tranny is good.
Go for the freebie first mate.
Let us know how it goes.
