| Transmission error code p0733
I purchased a 323i 4DR automatic trans recently with 146,000 miles on it. The car ran great for about three weeks now, however it began periodically given me the (!) symbol and then the "service engine soon" light came on. I parked the car for a few days as I went out of town, when I returned I started and the (!) symbol was gone. So I drove the car around the block. Drove excellent at first, shifting through all gears strong, but then the (!) symbol reappeared and from a dead stop the car would barely move and then it felt like it would kick into gear and pull strong. I used a OBD II pocket scan and it gave me a reading of p0733 although the (!) symbol does not display when car is started.
Has anyone had this same problem and what did you do to fix it? I don't want to get used by a mechanic by paying money I didn't have to. Because the car runs so good, I believe it can be something minor. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
