| torque converter chatter?
First issue with the auto trans (steptronic) in my '03 325i with the 2.5L. Returning from Gainesville on I-75. Problem occurs when attempting to accelerate at 60-80 mph. When you first give it gas, it feels as though there is a shudder from the back end. If you accelerate really slowly, there is no shudder. The thing that makes me think it's tranny related is that the tach jumps slightly and settles right when the brief shudder ends. The tranny has never been serviced. I've been meaning to do a partial swap of this "lifetime" fluid, but haven't. It's still under warranty at 53K, but I'm looking for some insight before I take it down to the dealer. Thanks! |
