Tool Kit

Okay, so I only had the trunk lid tool kit open twice during my 11-year ownership of the 325is. Once when I bought the car - "Hey, look at this. A built in tool kit." and then two weeks ago when I sold the car to a friend, "Hey, look at this. A built in tool kit."

Already opened the one on my "new" '04 330ci - "Hey, couple of tools missing."
So even though I won't depend on the tools to get the thing going if it breaks down somewhere east of Ludlow (still haunted by that desolate stretch on my California trip) I would like to have it complete.

Although I see many of the tools for sale on ebay and such, I can't seem to find a list of what is suppose to be there. Anyone have a list and/or photo/diagram of the complete set?

The far left should be a screwdriver. The middle should be a 6-8" rod. No idea what the far right arrow should be.

From what I've found, the following item goes in the slot (middle arrow) but it isn't that long. It is called a Spark Plug Wrench Pin part #71 11 1 093 774 at BMW Parts and BMW Accessories | Bavarian Autosport. This is used to help change a tire. It goes into a lug stud hole and provides a post to hang the tire on while one is inserting the other lug studs.

The far right slot is for the socket for your wheel locks if you have them.

I placed an order with Bavarian Autosport for the Spark Plug Wrench Pin Thingy Item and found they also had that great two-way screwdriver. Got to be high quality stuff - as it was almost $6.00. I'll probably someday replace my Snap-ons with these.

Anyway, as soon as I figure the socket thing out, I'll have my kit restocked and can sleep nights.

An example of the wheel locks is part # WL2 at BavAuto. My 325i doesn't have wheel locks.
