Too freaking quiet

I hate to admit this but my car is so quiet that sometimes I find myself cruising at 60mph in 3rd gear because I cant hear the engine. I was thinking I'd do an intake to get a little engine sound but I fear doing exhaust because my last car was so loud it made my ears ring. Is there a good aftermarket exhaust thats louder but not too loud? Its a 2000 328i. Thanks.

lol -- what a problem to have. You know, there's always that RPM-reading-needle-thingy on your instrument cluster to tell you how fast your engine is revving

I am not sure off the top of my head, but I think Remus, Dinan, and UUC System U are good, throuaty-sounding exhausts that aren't too loud. I am sure we have some threads about this on here. I encourage you to take a few minutes and browse around using the search function. I'll try to to a little research later todya, after I get off work.
