| I have two sets (8) of new 225/50/16 Goodyear F1's; they are currently in the garage- I have a 325i with stock 16" rims. My father-in-law owns a Ford dealership that sells Goodyear and they were ordered by a customer and never picked up, I was able to "help" him with his inventory problem.
The question:
I am adding a UUC Stage 4 package in the next month or so. I know that a 45-series (225/45/17) will offer slightly better turn-in, but will there be that much difference in the 225/50/16? If I spent the money I am saving on tires on a lightweight BBS 16" wheel will this be a good match with the UUC's moderate suspension upgrade? I do not care about the "look" only in driveability. I'm not aggressive driver on the road, but do want to attend some SCCA track days soon. And, I really want to use these tires! THANKS!! |
