just wondering what the psi should be in my conti-sport 225/45 R17 i have on my 2002 325Ci...they are the standard tires which came with the sport package.

right now they are at 35psi.

is that the max of the tire? is the max 44psi? i woul just stay roughly 2-4 psi under max. even 5 would be safe. 44 at max is pusing it,.

i had 39 front 42 rear. rear gone, with overinflated wear pattern, fron ok.

so now i do 39 all round.

Off the top of my head I believe the door plate on my 2000 328 spec's 29 front 32 rear for the 225/45 17's. I found that to be too soft, I run around 32f 35r.

im guessing the variation of numbers is becuase of temp. differeneces of location...im sure 35 all, is fine. thats a normal temp.
but for the record i run 34/32 when autocrossing.
