Tilt down mirror

My Tilt down passengerside mirror has a mind of its own. It usually doesn't work, but if i try and show someone that its broken it decides to work. Does anyone else have this problem with the tilt not always working when the car is put into reverse???? ghead

Not to be condescending if you already know this. . . .

The tilt-down feature can be turned on and off with the mirror selection switch.

When the driver's side mirror is selected, the passenger will tilt down in reverse. When the passeneger side is selected, it will not.

Not sure if this was the problem but definitly good to know. I will test it tonight.

I had the same problem.
I believe in the middle position the tilt down feature when reversing is disabled too!
I believe it is for parallel parking so you don't give your back rim a curb job!
I prefer that the mirror doesn't tilt when reversing, when someone is in the car I switch it on!
I point it out before I put the car in reverse, WOW factor is high.
