thinking about e46... - BMW Forum

I just got a 98 528 (e39) about a month ago and i love the car. however its an automatic and my previous car was a manual. I really would like to get a manual again. All things aside, im thinking about selling my car and spending another 3 or 4k to get into a 2000 or so 323 Ci (coupe not convertable) with a 5-speed manual of course. Any opinions? ideas? where to look for a good deal? Any input will be appreciated. Haha my dad likes my current car so much i may just give it to him and sell his old car lol. Anyway just looking for input thanks.

Personally I would suggest a 325Ci over the 323Ci reasons being:

The 325 having a 2.5L inline 6 puts out 184 HP
The 323 also having a 2.5L inline 6 only puts out 170 HP

Not a huge difference but still a difference, which makes for a bit sportier ride...Alot of guys on here will say stay away from the 323 (Y, who knows) and to get a 330 (ultimatly yes get a 330 if one falls in your price range) Good luck with your search.
