I have to say the response I have been given being an outsider is way above average, thanks to all of you guys and gals!! Just want to again say, I love German cars and I love my 2003 Ford SVT Cobra. If you don't mind let me tell you what I know of this car, first, this chassis is built on a 1978 Ford Fairmont chassis, it is a unibody, piece of shit, that is why I installed Maximum Motorsports full-frame subconnectors, so that in twenty years the doors would not be sagging. The new Mustang will be built on the same chasis as the Lincoln LS/Thunderbird, full chasis. This is the first 4 wheel independant suspension I have ever owned, it is amazing the speeds you can accomplish on a 90 degree turn left or right. I'm sure an M3 has superior handling qualities, BUT...... The bright part of my experience and knowledge is this engine is a work of art, very strong, when they break, it's mostly because of the crazy mods these guys are doing. Yes, prior to 2002 (November), there was on a small percentage a lack of oiling to certain cylinders, they got a ticking. My car was correcting, no tick, no problems, some of these guys claim they have "the tick" but what they are hearing with the hood up and idling is the fricking fuel injectors, they are loud, lol. These engines are handbuilt by a two person team. Anyway with just a few mods, mine being, Flowmaster American Thunder Catback, Steeda Tri-Ax shifter and K&N Fuel Injection Kit, this car is running around 480 at the flywheel, 425ish at the rear. This car is no match for the incredible overall engineering of the BMW or the inside quality (blows me away), best to you my friends, Doc.
