I'm looking to replace the CD-Changer unit in my 03 325i to something that plays MP3's... Any thoughts in regards to models, compatibility, etc...

I just installed Alpine CHAS634 in my 318i.(E46). Remember you will need an interface unit and small piece of cable to convert DIN to BMW prewired connection. Confusing? see below..
BMW Bussiness Radio---->prewired connection--->small cable---->interface unit---->ALPINE CD/MP3 Player.
If you don't want to get a new head unit and just have an input jack then you can connect this very simply - have a look on the seach under "MP3" you will find a few posts from me.
