supercharged 330i vs. M3 - BMW Forum

Hey guys, I have an E36 right now but i am looking at getting a new car in the future. I was wondering if you guys know it to be possible to mod out a 330i to be equal or greater performance wise to an M3, without going over the price of an M3. Here are some of the mods I was thinking of:- superchaged, new fuel management system, ignition systerm, intake system, chip, lightened flywheel , and suspension. any comments would be helpful.

Get an "Alpina" engine as I did:
Displacement(cm3) 3300
280 hp@6200rpm
torque 335Nm@4500rpm
0-60mph 5.7 sec.
max speed 166 mph(266km/h)
Paid 4000 Euro for used one, but with low milage on it.
Frankly-any M3 can kiss my ass.

Moving to Alpina motor would be good, because its just a lot more solid, not dissing an S/C at all.
If you go SC, might want to do new clutch also so there is no slipeage.
But going to 330 with an S/c could definitely be a good move, but also alot more pricy, where the Alpina is a dependable motoretc..
