Sunroof

Hey guys. I have an annoying problem. Today I tried to open my sunroof and it pulled the sliding shade all the way back into the roof of the car. I managed to pull the shade back out but now the track is all screwed up. When I try and open the sunroof, the shade gets stuck on somthing and doesn't slide back right. Any idea what something like this would cost to fix? Also, should I take it to a body shop or my trusty mechanic. Thanks

I posted the same problem a couple of weeks ago. We went to open the sunroof on a hot day and it started making a fast clicking sound as it popped off track. We were able to get it back on track and haven't had any problems since. We were advised to check for broken plastic clips by a poster on this board. I haven't found any and the dealer couldn't find a problem. Good luck and keep posting!

If your perform this repair yourself make sure you get the sunroof glass adjusted right or you'll get a wind noise. and i'm sure you won't tell the dealer you tried to fix this yourself. it is an easy fix though.
