Okay, I have/had an 06 330i with the comfort access without alarm that was stolen on 7-21 and literally destroyed. I have the original key fob with buttons on it and that's all I remember getting when I bought it used. Now I and family members have noticed that the car started and ran without ever having the primary key near it at times. I loaned it to my brother-in-law for something like a week and he was the 1st to notice this when he took off in it without the key or his wallet to go to the store.
Now the insurance investigator states I was involved and is calling my friends and family, basically slandering my name/character in their opinion, asking if my car starts without the key and the specific dates and times the car started.
So question is, does anybody's else car start without the key after you have recently driven it? Because mine does? And is it suppose to if the car does not have an alarm in it and has the comfort access?
I guess the only upside is that you now have another set of keys.
Good luck with it all.
Is the assessor now recalling all of your freinds and correcting his earlier slanderous comments? It might be that he could cover the costs for you through the courts
