Ok... I'll play along..
A steptronic is like an automatic but with the ability to change gears by just tabing the gear selector forward or backward.... without a clutch. Where it displays a '+' sign... that's up one gear, and a '-' sign is for down a gear...

PS, in case you dont' know, a clutch is the third peddle in manual cars (furthest on the left), it's used to enable the driver to change the gears without screwing up the engine.
