Steering Wheel Noise - BMW Forum

I've noticed an increasingly worse creaking sound coming form my e46 steering wheel when I turn it, regardless of which direction. It sounds like leather rubbing up against leather (hard to describe) but it seems like something may just need lubing? Any help would be great. TIA

why not just give it a squirt of wd40 or summat,,,and see what happens????

and how would you know what leather against leather sounds like????

I had that creeking noise on my last E46 and it was fixed when I mentioned it to the dealership on its service. I do not know what they did to fix it. I would be reluctant to go squirting anything into mine as when I do things like that the WD40 never seems to stop leaking out, and it will get on your clothes... But then again, I am not very good at fixing things myself.
