stalling

Read some replies to simular problems. Here's mine.

2001 330ci 6 cyl.

Stalls intermittently. at restart it idles well but depressing gas peddle is like going into a void, nothing happens. It's like the fuel was shut off. Release peddle and it idles well.

Also at times the idle lopps.

All this is intermittent. Most of the time the car runs well.

Mechanics (not BMW) could not find the problem. Vaccum was checked, intake manifold removed. Replaced PCV valve.

Does not want to be a parts changer as this could be expensive. Says it MAY be the Air Mass Sensor or idle contril valve. Coil packs seem okay.

Car is dangerous to drive. Never know when it will stall.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

I don't know if you had it fixed since your post but I had the same problem. I have a 2000 323i. I replaced the mass airflow intake sensor and it fixed the problem. Also, my car does not like low octane fuel. Needs to be mid grade at the least. Good luck...
