Squeaky Window Noise - BMW Forum

Hello all,

Both front doors in my '02 325i make a "squeaking" sound while I'm driving. The passenger door is worse. It sounds like the windows are rubbing against the seals, but the sound doesn't diminish or go away if I push against the glass to try to stop it. Could it be something else? The noise goes away completely if I lower the windows.

I don't hear it when I have the radio up, but it's a little annoying when I want to go for a quiet drive. Should I take it in for repair, or is there a neat trick to fix it?

All the dealer wil do is put a lubricating preservative treatment on the seal. It takes care of the squeak for a little while. I think that you can buy it from them and do it yourself for alot less. I think it is called Guglifluege (SP?) some German word I had never heard of until I asked what they where putting on my car.

Hmm... The dealer gave me a BMW cleaning kit (cardboard box with a bunch of bottles in it). I wonder if there's something in the kit that will work...
