| why is it so damn expensive to have lowering springs installed on my car. i have an 03 xi and i've been quoted between 400-600 bucks to install some H&R sport springs. That just seems outrageous considering i only paid a fraction of that for the springs themselves?

labor is about $72.00 an hour, and it takes approximatlely 4-6 hours. Check with some of your local custom auto outfits. The one here in my town only charges $200-240.00. You can also do it yourself if you have a hydrolic jack, some jack stands and some basic tools. You will need help though. It takes 2 people. Check around for instructions.
