| Small hole in rear bumper of BMW 328i -- recommendations.
I had a friend over Thursday night to catch the Giants game and after I was going to give him a ride in my new car. Not realizing he had parked in my driveway, I backed my car into his Altima going about 1-2 mph! Only cracked the frame of his license plate, but the bolt on his license plate put a small hole in my rear bumper. The diameter is about the size of a piece of chalk, with paint intact, and an impression just a fraction of an inch. Recommendations? Thanks!
P.S. If too costly, I may leave as is, but concerned since considering selling the car and worried about the depreciation from even a small imperfection. Also, concerned if body shop (or I) am required to report to DMV if over $750 in California (obviosly not report if not fixed), and if CarFax would be notified. If the preceding. definite not working repairing.
Regasrdless, the thoght of a blemish like that on a mint car is quite depressing! |
