Slight Clicking noise when turning or accelerating

I'm looking at buying this 1999 323i with 147,000 on it. I was very impressed with the entire car, inside and out, but when I turned the wheel or accelerated there was a slight clicking noise that almost seemed to come from the air vents. It seemed very close to me in the driver seat.

The clicking wasn't constant it would sometimes happen and others it wouldn't. The car was at full operating temp.

Any ideas at what it could be?
Thanks a lot.

More then likely, it is worn out CABs. They will make this kind of noise when they wear out.

Is that a pretty inexpensive/easy replacement? Or should I leave it up to the shop?

Thanks
