First BMW owner. I picked up my 05 325xi last Friday.
I have to say that this car is a fine piece of machinery. It's not the most powerful car I've owned, but the handling is excellent.
Anyway,
I searched over the weekend about adding Sirius on top of already having Nav and kept finding that it won't work. I kept seeing that there were problems with having assist, but no real reason why. I also saw quite a few people asking if it could be done.
The dealer I purchased it from said it couldn't be done as of yet.
I purchased the receiver from another dealer (Mine said that 400 of them are on national back order)
I installed it last night and everything is perfect.
I told the dealer that I was doing the install, mabye that's why they said that.
Just wanted to let everyone know.
