| Squeeze the shift boot on both sides (left-right) and it should pull up.
Then theres a white nylon cup, rotate that 90 degrees and pull up
Get under the car and take out the C-clip.
That is all.
At least on a e30, and bmw doesnt like to change stuff that works.
